Upslope Sustainability: Why We’re A Certified B Corporation

600 925 Upslope Brewing

All of our sustainability initiatives point to the concept that there is no planet B.”

Matt Cutter, Founder and President of Upslope Brewing Company

From day one, social and environmental responsibility has been at the forefront of Upslope’s business model. We started this journey 13 years ago when our founders decided to put beer in infinitely recyclable cans, and have only grown from there. Our efforts led to us becoming a Certified B Corporation in 2018, a certification that recognizes for-profit companies that demonstrate high social and environmental performance.

We are proud to finally present “Upslope Sustainability: Why We’re a Certified B Corporation” – a film that outlines why we go to such lengths to take care of the wild spaces that we love, while brewing great beer at the same time. Here is our “why”, created by Traverse Image.

Another way we document out commitment to sustainability is through our 2020-2021 Impact Report.

This Impact Report was created to chronicle our progress as a Certified B Corporation, as well as maintain accountability and transparency about actions we take to support environmental and social issues at Upslope. This report outlines how and why we keep sustainability at the forefront of all that we do here, and will similarly be instrumental in our B Corp recertification in the coming years.
