5 Tips from LNT

➢ Plan ahead before the day! Check the weather and realize that it can change fast – bring layers, RAIN GEAR, appropriate footwear, water, sunscreen, and anything else you may need.

➢ Your dogs are welcome on a leash. Picking up after your pet and packing it out or disposing of it when it happens in the correct waste bin is imperative.

➢ Greening stations (recycle/compost/waste) will be available. Leave No Trace & Upslope will ensure that all discards are disposed of properly. Please familiarize yourself with the event’s greening practices.

➢ Be considerate of your fellow hikers – respect everyone on the trail and protect the quality of their experience.

➢ Stick to the trail, even if wet, muddy or icy. This helps protect trailside plants and erosion and keeps everyone safe!
